CRO MTB Team Opens the Season at Strong XCO Races in Spain

Riders of CRO MTB opened the season by competing at prestigious international XCO races in Spain, where they faced exceptionally strong European competition. Their participation in the Internacionales Chelva race series served as an important test of form at the very beginning of the racing season.

A Strong Start in International Competition

Spanish races traditionally attract a large number of UCI teams and national-level riders, while the technically demanding courses and constant rhythm changes present a serious challenge even for the most prepared athletes:

  • Strong competitiveness within their categories
  • Stable and technically confident riding
  • Good physical preparation early in the season

The races in Spain were strategically chosen to elevate the level of competitive experience and secure quality international starts already in February.

Focus on Development and Continuity

Opening the season at this level confirms the team’s ambition to consistently compete outside Croatia and provide young riders with valuable experience racing in top-level international fields. Such performances build the confidence, tactical maturity, and speed required for elite results over time.

Spain was the first test - and judging by the performances, the season for CRO MTB Team is only just gaining momentum.
